Create a New Gallery
1. Log in to the lounge with your existing username and password (or register as a new member if necessary - it only takes a few seconds)
2. Click the link on the left “Update Your Kit Photos”
3. Click the link in the top right hand corner of the table - "Add New Kit Gallery"
4. Type in a description of the kit you will be showing.
5. Click the "Add New Kit Gallery" Button.
6. Click on your new gallery's name to start adding photos.

Add Your Photos

7. Click the link in the top right of the table - "Add a photo in...(name of your gallery)"
8. Give your photo a title such as "Kit shot from Top" or "Front of Kit" in the title box.
9. Click the "Browse" button and find your photo on your computer (JPG, BMP, GIF or PNG format)
10. Fill in a description for the photo - you can copy and paste from a word processor if you like.
11. Click the "Add your new photo" button when you are finished. Your photo will be uploaded, resized and a thumbnail made, all automatically.
12. Repeat the process to add more photos - as many as you like. You can click on an existing photo to edit its details. Feel free to go back and add more galleries if you have more than one kit!

That's all there is to it - have fun and we'll look forward to seeing your work!
If you have any problems, email Chris our webmanager on chris@soundattak.co.uk

Rule for Photos (these should be obvious but you never know...)
Only upload photos of your drums.
The drums in the photos should be yours, not Terry Bozzio's, Mike Portnoy's or some other kit you spotted on the net that you thought looked cool.
Please don't upload catalogue shots (even if it does look like the kit you are getting/have just bought, honest) - we want to see your personal setup - that's what's interesting!
Every photo must have at least part of your kit in it - you can upload shots of your band if you like (we like live shots) but not if all we can see is the guitarist!
One final thing - this is a family site, so no photos with unsuitable things in them (I'm not going into detail - if I'd be embarrased to show them to my seven year old daughter I'll remove them!) and no swears in the description

Tips
Filename and File Types
Photos can be called just about anything but they cannot have any other full stop other than the one before the file extension. For example, "My VeryBig Kit.jpg" is fine but "My.NewKit.jpg" won't display.
All files must have a file extension - we accept JPG, BMP, GIF and PNG file formats.

File sizes
You may wish to resize the photos to a maximum of 600 pixels (high or wide) using an image editing package (e.g. Photoshop) before uploading. This will reduce the amount of time it takes to upload your files. However, you can upload original files if you wish, as the system will resize them automatically and create the thumbnails - it will just take longer.
If you are uploading shots from a camera phone, please a) make sure it is capable of taking photos at least 600 pixels high/wide and b) make sure there is plenty of light in the room when you take the photo or it will look very grainy!

Pasting descriptions from a Word Processor/Text Editor.
You can copy and paste from any text editing package, but the results look better if, before you add your photo, you click the and icons to tidy up your text and make it HTML ready.

Gallery Names and Photos
Feedback from the fourms shows that our visitors are more likley to view your gallery if you call it something descriptive like "James' Ludwig Setup" rather than just "My Kit". Also, try to enter at least a basic description on your photos - not everyone will recognise that original 70s Ludwig Black Beauty without some help!
Also, try to upload shots showing different aspects of your setup - drummers are nosey - they want to see everything from every angle!
