Sounds and Effects
Building up from the original, the Roland Octapad SPD-30 Drum Pad is more than a MIDI controller, with its onboard sound library and fifty drum kits, setting you up for any genre you want to put your hand to. What’s more you can customise the sounds with amongst others, tuning, muffling, attack and pitch sweep controls.
On top of all the readily available sounds the Roland Octapad SPD-30 Drum Pad is packed with 30 multi-effects. In addition to these effects you also have an EQ, limiter, and seven types of Ambience.
Phrase Loop Function
To really let your creativity soar the Roland Octapad SPD 30 Drum Pad offers a Phrase Loop function with layering. You can store up to 50 loops/phases on the device (each of which can have up to three layers). If that’s not enough you can save phrases to a USB storage device.
V-Drum Triggering Technology
Ensuring you the best response from the eight pads of the Roland Octapad SPD-30 Drum Pad it features Roland’s advanced triggering technology, seen in their V-Drum series. Each pad acts as a single unit, avoiding cross talk and being capable of high sensitivity.
On top of the onboard triggering available the Roland Octapad SPD-30 Drum Pad also offers up connectivity for up to four dual-triggers and a hi-hat controller (Roland FD-8, VH-11). This means you can connect the unit up to external pads, such as Roland’s KD, PD, PDX and CY series, or acoustic drums (with Roland’s RT series of acoustic drum triggers).
